We are the proprietors of Grill 23 & Bar, Harvest, Bistro du Midi and The Banks Seafood and Steak.
It is our pride to have delivered decades of acclaimed dining and service, with each of our restaurants earning its place as a neighborhood institution. Founded by Kenneth Himmel and helmed by his son, Chris Himmel, we exist to bring our patrons a world-class experience that must be repeated again and again.
Chris Himmel
President
As the second generation of family ownership at Himmel Hospitality Group, Chris grew up in the restaurant business. Aside from being a lifelong fixture at all four of the group’s Boston concepts, Chris is a graduate of the prestigious Cornell School of Hotel Administration and has trained under two of the best names in hospitality: Danny Meyer and Chef Thomas Keller. Chris’ philosophy is grounded in hospitality and product, with a driving commitment to delivering the finest ingredients and best trained staff at his restaurants.
Brian Sommers
Executive Vice President/Partner
With over 40 years of financial and management experience in the hospitality, real estate, accounting and auditing industries, Mr. Sommers brings a diverse set of financial management skills to the organization. During his career, he has established strong relationships with executive level professionals in the banking, legal, insurance and financial industries. Before joining HHG as a Controller in 1988, Sommers was an audit manager at Arthur Anderson & Co. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul School of Business and Economics, earned his CPA license and is a past member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
Jaime Campos
Chief Operating officer
A New York City native Jaime Campos grew up in the restaurant business, starting at a young age working as a dishwasher in his aunt’s restaurant. Jaime is a graduate of the esteemed Culinary Institute of America. He has always strived to partner with great companies working for the luxurious Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Grand Hyatt New York City, Boston Harbor Hotel, Seaport Hotel and most recently as the Vice President of Operations of the prestigious Longwood Venues and Destinations before joining Himmel. Jaime believes in delivering the highest level of food & service consistently with the help of a team of dedicated professionals.
Robert Sisca
Culinary Director / Partner
Chef Robert Sisca is one of New England’s true culinary talents. His deep appreciation for the ocean and the product it provides started at a young age and carried through to adulthood. After attending culinary school, Sisca worked as a sous chef at the Michelin star Le Bernardin in New York City and launched multiple restaurants to national acclaim throughout New England. Today, he is the Culinary Director & Partner of The Himmel Hospitality Group. Chef Sisca lets carefully conceived dishes speak for themselves, as the freshest locally sourced ingredients take center stage. Chef Sisca artfully combines finesse and approachability to satisfy various appetites on any given occasion. In particular, his raw bar, crudo, seafood and steak selections surprise and delight the senses.
